Do you think that&#8217;s more fun than the treadmill?<\/p>\n<p>Of course you do.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6655\" src=\"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/burp-300x284.png\" alt=\"burp\" width=\"300\" height=\"284\" srcset=\"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/burp-300x284.png 300w, http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/burp.png 462w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You know this old school exercise rocks for fat loss. Even though it\u2019s a tough one, you save a ton of time and train your entire body in like, 3 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>However, danger lurks.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the top 4 mistakes I see people make when doing Burpees. Let\u2019s rock this:<\/p>\n<h1><b>1. Not Regressing the Exercise<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>Burpees are for everyone, but you have to modify the exercise to suit your fitness level. Here is one simple quick fix: check your ego.<\/p>\n<p>Like I said, one rep should take around 3 seconds to complete (yes, it can feel more like 3 hours). If it\u2019s taking you way longer in a conditioning circuit, you\u2019re not moving fast enough to create the right metabolic effect.<\/p>\n<p>While it might be hard, if you can\u2019t move at a fast pace with a full range of motion, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">you\u2019re actually lowering the intensity<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The best way to modify? Take out the push up, and the jumps. You can still burn a ton of calories and keep your heart rate through the roof.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re brand new to Burpees, you can make it even easier by elevating your hands. Put them on a box or step. You&#8217;ll protect your shoulders AND still get an awesome workout.<\/p>\n<p>When you get fatigued and your form gets sloppy, take a time out or modify.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll get way more out of it, and stay safe.<\/p>\n<h1><b>2. Warming up with Burpees<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>This is controversial, but<strong> the Burpee is definitely NOT a warm up exercise.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve seen guys at the gym bragging about how they just did 50 Burpees as a warm up. Oh wow, good for you hardcore (insert Aussie swear words) moron&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>But tell me dude, how was the rest of your workout?<\/p>\n<p>If you empty the tank by doing a billion Burpees in the first 5-10 minutes, how on earth can you train at a high intensity for the next 10-20 minutes?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s just silly.<\/p>\n<p>I know you\u2019re dying to get them over and done with, but if you have a strength session lined up, save the Burpees for the end.<\/p>\n<p>Train smart and structure your workout correctly. Start with a simple dynamic warm up, to increase your mobility and get your body prepared for the onslaught. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<h1><b>3. You Think You\u2019re Too Old for Burpees<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>Ha. I\u2019ve heard this excuse one too many times\u2026. If you\u2019re able bodied and breathing, there is no reason you can\u2019t do a variation of a Burpee.<\/p>\n<p>It comes done to how hard you\u2019re willing to work to reach your goals. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">You don\u2019t have to kill yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I have a 65 years old client who is rocking out and destroying Burpees on a regular basis. In fact, one day she even <i>asked me very politely<\/i> if we could do another set of Burpees.<\/p>\n<p>No joke.<\/p>\n<p>Isn&#8217;t that awesome? Absolutely. High fives all round.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t tell me you\u2019re too old. That\u2019s rubbish. As long as your form is good, there is nothing to be afraid of.<\/p>\n<h1><b>4. ONLY doing Burpees<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>Just like any exercise, if you do too much of one thing, you will get hurt. And bored pretty quickly. It\u2019s only a matter of time before an overuse injury strikes you down.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why you need to strategically program Burpees, just like you would any other conditioning exercise. Using fun, \u201cnever-seen-before\u201d variations is another awesome way to beat off boredom.<\/p>\n<p>I love to\u00a0combine Burpees with everything \u2013 breakfast, lunch \u2013 you name it. Even vodka. Obviously, Burpees are the best addition to ANY workout to accelerate your fat loss without overuse injuries and boredom.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/1000calorieaccelerator.com\"><b>Burn up to\u00a01,000 Calories a day using these workouts<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll find a step-by-step plan to help you get started on each workout.
