I continue to sing a similar song as Kate about living a healthy and fit lifestyle, but I want to direct this message to women in particular.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women:<\/strong> You are notorious for being caregivers but you tend to forget to care for yourself. While being a caregiver to others \u2018seems\u2019 unselfish, I want to tell you how it makes it more difficult to serve others when you don\u2019t put yourself first.<\/p>\n<p>Trust me when I say I know what I\u2019m talking about here. I wear many hats: I\u2019m a mom, I was a teacher for many years, I\u2019m a business owner, basically I\u2019d say I\u2019m a reformed \u2018self-neglect-er\u2019 because I understand the toll it takes on a body when you forget to care for yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes it\u2019s just necessary to be a little selfish. In the end, you\u2019ll be a better mom, wife, friend, sister, employee, biz owner\u2026.You get the picture.<\/p>\n<p>The selfishness I\u2019m talking about here is taking time to take care of a few \u2018essentials\u2019 that will ensure health. Surprisingly, taking care of fitness needs (an important aspect of overall health) is easier and less time consuming than you may think.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not necessary to spend hours daily to be fit and lean. There\u2019s no need to invest tons of money in equipment or fancy clothes or gym memberships. Of course, you should know this if you read anything that Kate writes. She can kick your butt with any of her fat loss accelerator or 1000 calorie workouts that uses no or barely any equipment or space.<\/p>\n<p>It really bothers me when women use age or menopause as an excuse. It\u2019s not your fault that you\u2019ve been fed the line that getting older and \u2018hormonal changes\u2019 make it impossible to lose weight or get fit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don\u2019t believe it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I know it\u2019s not easy to find time and Mother Nature can play cruel jokes on a woman\u2019s body if you\u2019re not careful. But by being selfish with just a small amount of time and effort, you can make a big difference in your health and physique. Being healthy and energetic will help you care for others more easily.<\/p>\n<p>Take this workout below as an example. You\u2019ll find six exercises that you can do practically anywhere with only the need for one dumb bell. In fact, you could even swap out a bodyweight move (in brackets below) instead of the DB move if you don\u2019t have a dumb bell.<\/p>\n<div class=\"videoWrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/P41hwpcu06c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<h2>SEXY Six for Summer Workout<\/h2>\n<p>Set a timer for 35 seconds of work and 7 seconds to transition or rest.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the exercises:<br \/>\n\u2022 DB or KB swing (burpees)<br \/>\n\u2022 push up<br \/>\n\u2022 goblet squat with the DB or KB (prisoner squat)<br \/>\n\u2022 DB bentover row (wall sit stick up)<br \/>\n\u2022 mountain climber or jumping jack<br \/>\n\u2022 plank recovery<\/p>\n<p>Repeat this circuit up to 5 times. Rest when needed.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone has 20 minutes 3-4 times a week to improve your health, right? I know you\u2019d spend that amount of time on someone else you loved, so why not invest in yourself too?
