{"id":5731,"date":"2014-09-17T10:36:36","date_gmt":"2014-09-17T14:36:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/?p=5731"},"modified":"2014-09-17T10:36:36","modified_gmt":"2014-09-17T14:36:36","slug":"15-minutes-to-tighter-body","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/15-minutes-to-tighter-body\/","title":{"rendered":"15 minutes to tighter body"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>If you have ZERO equipment, how can you make your workout MORE challenging so that you burn more calories and rev your metabolism?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Good question\u2026<\/p>\n<p>In just a minute, I\u2019ll share with you an old school training technique I\u2019ve been experimenting with that can make your workouts more effective.<\/p>\n<p>To increase your workout intensity without going to the gym, you have two options:<\/p>\n<p><strong>(A) Progression<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Instead of doing more reps, upgrade the exercise so that you are pushing yourself. You won\u2019t be able to do as many reps, but you\u2019ll feel the difference and crank your afterburn.<\/p>\n<p>For example, here is my progression playlist for the push up:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Wall push up<\/li>\n<li>Incline push up<\/li>\n<li>Push up<\/li>\n<li>Decline Push up<\/li>\n<li>Handstand push up<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>At each level, you can make it more challenging by taking one leg off the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Just make sure you don\u2019t take both feet off at once, OK? \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5721\" src=\"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/dog.png\" alt=\"dog\" width=\"424\" height=\"264\" srcset=\"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/dog.png 424w, http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/dog-300x186.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 424px) 100vw, 424px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>(B) Isometric training <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A fast and furious pace with little rest isn\u2019t the only way to get sexy results.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, slowing down \u2013 and even holding still \u2013 can actually make your workouts more effective.<\/p>\n<p>Enter Isometrics.<\/p>\n<p>When you rush through certain exercises, without a distinct pause at certain points, you are missing out on improving your strength and stability where your body needs it the most.<\/p>\n<p>Doing isometric training can help to improve your technique on tough exercise positions, like at the top of a glute bridge, or the bottom of a push up.<\/p>\n<p>And the best part is these moves are non-impact, so it\u2019s joint friendly and anyone can do it.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re having trouble holding still \u2013 no worries. Short holds (up to 60 seconds) will get you high quality muscle contraction since you\u2019re less likely to break form (remember, you\u2019re not moving!)<\/p>\n<p>Now it\u2019s your turn to play along at home\u2026 It\u2019s just like the game \u201cFreeze\u201d that your kids play \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>These isometric moves will elevate your heart rate to burn fast and build lean muscle.<\/p>\n<p>Start by holding each exercise for 60 seconds, resting for 15-30 seconds between each move. That\u2019s one round.
