{"id":6628,"date":"2015-06-30T12:49:11","date_gmt":"2015-06-30T16:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/?p=6628"},"modified":"2015-06-30T12:49:11","modified_gmt":"2015-06-30T16:49:11","slug":"the-crossfit-story-you-were-never-told","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/the-crossfit-story-you-were-never-told\/","title":{"rendered":"The CrossFit Story You Were Never Told"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Is Crossfit good for you?<\/h1>\n<p>You\u2019ve seen it, right?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s touted as the fastest way to get ripped and in shape\u2026 and this craze shows no signs of slowing down.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So what\u2019s this story you were never told?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well, it\u2019s mostly about the extreme dangers associated with long term fatigue that can be caused by working out at VERY high intensity for too long.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s where CrossFit\u2019s dirty little secret comes in\u2026<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-6630\" src=\"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_6231-e1435682338206-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"the crossfit story you were never told\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Rhabdomyolysis.<\/h2>\n<p>Or \u201cRhabdo\u201d for short.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a little known, yet extremely dangerous health condition.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, it happens when you\u2019re pushed too hard in a workout.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s why it\u2019s dangerous:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rhabdo is the rapid destruction of your muscle fibers \u2013 to the point where your muscle protein myoglobin leaks into your urine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dead set.<\/p>\n<p>Clearly it\u2019s NO joke!<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the other day I was reading an article about a young girl who nearly died from Rhabdo after a CrossFit workout&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what happened\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Angie (not her real name) was what most would consider a young healthy female. Despite doing plenty of HIIT training, running and being athletic most of her life\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026she suffered Rhabdo on her 4th day at CrossFit.<\/p>\n<p>After the workout, Angie felt like she\u2019d been hit by a truck.<\/p>\n<p>And that night on the drive home, she could barely lift her arms to hold the steering wheel at ten and two.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s where things got scary\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The next day, Angie woke up with arms swollen like overfilled water balloons. And she couldn\u2019t bend or lift them at all.<\/p>\n<p>Her muscle soreness reached a whole new level of pain. (Classic Rhabdo symptom).<\/p>\n<p>Blood showed up in her urine.<\/p>\n<p>And she was rushed off to the ER.<\/p>\n<p><strong>While in the ER, they tested her creatinine kinase (CPK) levels. Normal is about 100. Her CPK levels were more than 78,000!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Turns out, she had a really serious case of Rhabdo and was lucky she went to the hospital before her kidneys failed\u2026<\/p>\n<p>She spent the next 5 days in hospital on an IV drip to flush the destroyed muscle fibers (CPK) out of her system.<\/p>\n<p>Not fun.<\/p>\n<p>Now listen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u2019m not claiming CrossFit is the only factor that can cause Rhabdo.<\/strong> There\u2019s not enough scientific data to support this idea.<\/p>\n<p>Yet.<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s coming.<\/p>\n<p>You just wait.<\/p>\n<p>My prediction?<\/p>\n<p>In a few years, the peer-reviewed scientific studies will be ripe with articles about the increase of Rhabdomyolysis, thanks to insane CrossFit workouts.<\/p>\n<p>In any case, here\u2019s the point:<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re not in peak condition and dehydrated, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">please be extremely careful when exercising.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Yes, Rhabdo is an extreme and rare condition.<\/p>\n<p>Be alert\u2026 but not alarmed.<\/p>\n<p>Crossfitters who are largely unaware of the Rhabdo risk will likely continue to charge ahead, pressured and happily coerced into exercising to exhaustion and depletion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you listen to your body and stay hydrated, YOU have nothing to worry about.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Simply follow a progressive and structured fat burning program like this:<\/p>\n<p><strong>==&gt; <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"www.bodyweightcardio500.com\/afterburn-accelerators\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Grab the 10 Minute Afterburn Accelerators<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can get amazing fast results without killing yourself in the process.<\/p>\n<p>Train hard.
