{"id":6973,"date":"2015-10-19T18:56:14","date_gmt":"2015-10-19T22:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/?p=6973"},"modified":"2015-10-22T20:21:45","modified_gmt":"2015-10-23T00:21:45","slug":"the-case-against-cheat-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/the-case-against-cheat-days\/","title":{"rendered":"The Case Against Cheat Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s become uber popular over the last few years to enjoy an entire cheat day to boost your fat burning hormones.<\/p>\n<p>So\u2026I\u2019m probably going to \u201ccop some flack\u201d for saying this.<\/p>\n<p>However I think one of the worst things you can do for dropping weight (including belly fat!) is cheat days.<\/p>\n<p>But wait!<\/p>\n<p>Before you feed me to the lions, let me explain\u2026<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not saying cheating is bad.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m just saying as a long term strategy to lose belly fat, it\u2019s really overrated and won\u2019t do you nearly as much good as learning <strong>how to eat the right foods in moderation<\/strong>. And by eating in moderation, yes I recommend enjoying a couple of cheat meals every week&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>But not a WHOLE cheat day.<\/p>\n<p>A full day of pigging out will set you back a week if it gets really out of hand\u2026 and a crazy cheat meal will just set you back that one day. Right, cookie monster? \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6975 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/fatlossaccelerators.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/cookies-300x281.jpg\" alt=\"cookies\" width=\"300\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>And it can open up a can of worms, if you\u2019re not careful.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, entire cheat days opens the door for one of the worst habits that damages your metabolism\u2026 <strong>yo-yo dieting.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Leaves you feeling bloated, guilty and gain MORE belly fat.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know about you, but I\u2019d much rather enjoy a cheat meal every now and then, instead of saving it all up for a weekly &#8220;Thanksgiving-like&#8221; binge that leaves you feeling terrible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Again, having a cheat MEAL\u00a0is not a bad thing to do.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I actually encourage it!<\/p>\n<p>There are many other benefits \u2013 especially mental health ones. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>But don\u2019t think you HAVE to do it.
