The other day, I was chatting to one of my clients here in LA who in the last year has lost over 50 pounds! Sexy town.

But recently, one of her “friends” had alluded to the idea that losing weight had been “easy for her”…

Like an overnight success story.

Huh? What the hell?!

It reminded me of a pic I recently stumbled upon… that is the perfect representation of reaching any weight loss goal…

In fact, you can apply this to any aspect of your life.

iceberg

Let me explain:

What most people don’t see is the stuff shared in this pic above… the stuff below the surface.

(If you’re visually challenged like me, I’ve listed all the key ingredients most folks don’t see)

- Risks

- Focus

- Goals

- Persistence

- Failure

- Massive Action

- Sacrifice

- Habits

- Hard work

You see, NONE of these elements have anything to do with the latest scientific research or fad diet. It’s all YOU.

What people haven’t seen are the months or years of hard work you’ve put in…

They don’t hear your 5am alarm blasting you out of bed so that you can fit in workouts…

They don’t know you take extra time to go food shopping, read the labels, plan healthy meals and prepare them for the week…

They don’t feel the frustration when you hit a plateau or a road block…

They don’t see the commitment, the sacrifices and the time you invested…

…not to mention the sweat and sheer hard effort it takes to push yourself through every workout.

I’ll be brutally honest with you here – none of this is easy. Ever. Anyone who sells you on “easy” is full of it, because it doesn’t exist.

So if YOU see someone else’s body changing shape and you’re wondering why it’s happening so much faster for THEM than YOU…

Chances are you might not be seeing the part of the iceberg below the surface.

Do you agree? Or do you see a different story? Drop me a message in the comments box below.

Stay strong, and keep hustling!
