Today’s special Fat Loss Accelerator comes to you live from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in New York. Unfortunately, my apartment was in the line of destruction and we have no power, Internet or hot water. Still, I consider myself a lucky one.
It’s crazy, I feel like I’m living back in the early 1900′s. Candlelight, radio and boiling water on the stove top. All we need is a camp fire and we’d be all set.
Survivor: Episode 1
New York is in disarray. For a city that never sleeps, I’ve never experienced anything like this. It’s an eerie, dark feeling that has swept across the city. The streets are total chaos, a crane is hanging by a thread over Midtown Manhattan, avenues and bridges resemble car parks and food is literally flying off the shelf.
You take for granted the benefits of modern living, and the amount you rely upon technology. Like iPhone battery power. It’s been an adventure across the city to find the next place to charge your devices.
Anyway, I’ve been getting restless. I have issues sitting still for 5 minutes, particularly without power and have enough pent up energy to unleash a hurricane force on my own. Training hard. I’m officially suffering from cabin fever. Anyway, I’ve been creating cool workouts for you during the storm lockdown to keep me out of trouble…
When in Doubt, Just Workout
This Halloween Fat Loss Accelerator is an all-in-one workout thats requires no equipment. Bodyweight only people. Really, this means you have absolutely no excuse not to try this. It won’t take any longer than 25 minutes. You can do it in less time than an episode of the Seinfeld Halloween Special. (I wish we had power so I could watch it!)
Deathly Dynamic Warm Up
I’ve been experimenting and adding different moves however a couple have become staples because they are so damn awesome.
Do 10 reps of each exercise, no rest between movements.
- Single leg glute bridge
- Toe touches to overhead reach
- Windmills
- Crab crawls with T reach
- Lateral lunges
- High knees
The Evil Bodyweight Blitz
Here’s the game plan today:
Do each exercise in order for 45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest. You want to get as many reps as possible (with good form of course). This means turning up the intensity and going hard. Go for 2 rounds, so set the timer for 12 rounds total.
Hardcore BONUS: go for 3 rounds and set the timer for 18rounds.
Let me be honest with you, I did 18 rounds and it seriously kicked my butt.
A) Star jump burpees
B) Push ups with alternating front raise
C) Lateral ski jumps
D) Mountain climbers
E) Reverse lunge to single leg RDL (do right leg round 1, left leg round 2, split time in round 3)
F) Jumping jacks
So there we have it lovely people. A spooktacular fat blasting workout to accelerate results and scare off any monsters.
