#1: Drink Water When You Wake Up

Imagine if you didn’t drink anything all day… that’s 8-9 hours at work with no coffee, no water, no protein shakes…nothing.

That’s exactly why you need to make it a priority to drink at least 16 oz (500mL) of filtered water upon waking – before you reach for coffee!

Why is this slimming?

If you drink very little water, you will retain MORE water and your body weight will increase. And even worse, it can make you look puffy and fat. :(

Ok, you now know the more water you drink, the less you will retain it (even though it may seem counterintuitive!). And you also must…

#2: Avoid Added Salt

Salt does not make you gain or lose body fat. In fact, it contains no calories. So what’s the big deal?

You see, when you eat salty or processed foods with hidden salt like frozen or canned foods, and condiments, it can have a major impact on your weight.

Why?

It can cause temporary weight gain since you retain water.

That’s why you feel bloated and puffy. And this is interesting…

#3: Eliminate Acid-Forming Foods

If you ask most medical doctors or dietitians what they think of the Alkaline Diet… they’ll likely tell you there’s no science to support it. Really? Eating more fruit and vegetable hasn’t been shown to benefit health?!

Here’s the thing… The typical Western diet is full of foods that tend to increase the acidity in your body.

Why is this a problem?

You see, eating a diet high in acidic foods without alkalizing foods can choke off the oxygen within cells and slowly damage your body. Long term, you can put yourself at greater risk of all kinds of diseases.

In fact, recent research shows that eating too many acid-promoting foods could cause weight gain, damage your kidneys and might even damage your liver.

That’s why your current “healthy” diet could be aging you faster, especially if you frequently consume foods like the ones on this page.
